I worked with Julia in her time as Head of Picknalls for about 6 years during the ‘80s. She was a wise leader – kind, caring, sensible, always finding and giving opportunities for both the children and staff to grow and develop. A woman of great integrity. Dave’s and my thoughts are with you all.

A kind and gentle woman who made a huge impact on the lives of so many during her working life.
Interesting, intelligent, caring, and a great sense of humour are just some of Julia’s many qualities.
She will be sadly missed, but not forgotten.

Much loved Headteacher at All Saints First School Church Leigh. Many happy memories of those times. She always made lessons interesting and was great fun. I remember her sitting next to me at lunch chatting and having a laugh. She made a big impression on me and I’m sure on many other children. She made school very enjoyable and at that early age I felt I learnt a lot from her. Best wishes.
