Walker John James former Baker of Uttoxeter passed away peacefully at the Old Rectory Care Home Bramshall on the 8th April 2020 Aged 92 Years Loving Dad of John, Peter, David, Paul and the late Mark a dear Grandad and Great-Grandad sadly missed A private family burial will be followed by a thanksgiving service for John’s life at a later date in the year any donations will be divided between St Michael’s Church Rocester & Stramshall Methodist Chapel

Keep me inside ! I was a bridesmaid at his wedding. When I visited him ( which wasn’t that often as I live in Canada ) his greeting was always the same “ hello Paul- good to see you “ I talked to him by phone – I shall miss him. Somehow I always expected him to go on for ever !!

It is always a wonder reminder of how many lives you touched whenever I’m back in the UK & I’m recognised as your grandson, usually follow by ”what a great man you where” or ”if i turn out half the man you are I’m doing ok”. You where always there to help anyone, all they had to do was ask. Which is a great quality which you’ve passed down through to my father and hopefully myself. Rest in Peace Grandad.
