Passed away peacefully at home on the 25th August 2020 Aged 88 Years

Beloved Husband of Beryl a loving Father , Grandfather and Great Grandfather A private funeral service at St Peter’s Church, Alton on Wednesday 9th September 2020 at 2pm followed by a burial in Alton Cemetery  any donation for St Peter’s Church, Alton

    Arthur was a colleague and friend, also a father like figure to me at the Council.
    He always had warm Words of wisdom to share, especially in my time as chairman of the SMDC.
    Arthur will sadly missed by everyone who knew him, but it’s time to rest in peace, God bless you!

    Arthur introduced me to politics at Staffordshire Moorlands DC and organised many events I attended. He was always a gentleman and supportive throughout the many years I knew. He will be missed.

    On behalf of the workforce of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council I would like to pass on our condolences. The workforce (past and present) had the pleasure of working with Cllr Forrester for 30 plus years – he always fulfilled his role to the highest possible standard and was a role model for numerous councillors that have served the Council. He was always generous in his support of staff – he will be fondly remembered – Andrew Stokes – Acting Chief Executive – Staffordshire Moorlands District Council
